In this day and age, each wedding is so incredibly unique. Traditional, classic, funky, dreamy, bohemian – we love seeing and executing each couple’s unique vision. We have also found that it is becoming much more common for couples to be married elsewhere with a smaller, intimate ceremony (perhaps even with just themselves) then holding another reception preceding the ceremony in an alternate location with all of their loved ones.
We had the pleasure of working with two wonderful grooms who had held their actual marriage in London, then invited all of their loved ones from various places around the world to join them in Park City, UT for a reception and celebratory weekend of their love. It was perfect. The fall colors in town were literally ‘popping’ and with rain in the forecast and mud on the trails, it ended up being a perfect weekend of laughter, bliss, and the sun hung out just long enough to provide a brightness of color that no camera could escape.
Another perfect utilization of the amazing Washington School House Hotel, all of the guests stayed, dined, and hung out here. After a couple days enjoying the mountains and exploring town, Saturday evening transformed hiking boots into suits, while everyone enjoyed a beautiful seated dinner and reception.
Blue hues on the tables and simple, succulent heavy greenery throughout by Tulips and Thyme, the groom’s unique vision created a beautiful atmosphere with the fall colors as a backdrop.
The cake – sweet potato spice cake with a salted caramel buttercream. A unique combination of flavors that we are now stealing forever (thanks guys).
